A Wish we all had.... and a wish.......... that came true.

This IS my Recycle Driver's brand new truck. His Starr has came and now is gone. He has had this truck almost a month now.

Thank you to my awesome recycle driver, enjoy your new truck!

Now about the Scorpion, in around 2008, one of their first demos were developed to go on route. This truck's packer is the packer of a rear loader, yes i'm serious! Gets alot of trash compacted. And to top it off, this is one of the largest trucks you'll ever see. Very tall. The Scorpion has been added to some of the largest fleets in all the valley - Tucson, Tempe, Scottsdale, Safford, and now Phoenix. Very unique truck and now they have expanded internationally. Plans for a front loader in the future and a CNG body. I can't thank the folks down there enough for all the information they gave me and up - to - date information on how the trucks were being developed. I thank you all and now here is your reward!
If you are interested in their products I advise you to check out their website here:

  • Well the one thing that does disappoint me about the Scorpion is the small dumping angle, seems like the driver has to give it a few tries before he's confident everything came out...and don't even try it with carts with metal tipper bars!! Would keep even more from emerging the first time..Is the city only buying these for ASL now? or they still order mostly curbtenders? Thanks for the post

  • @Trashman242 Yea, it has been fixed now. Once you get to the more "recent" videos of the Scorpion it will be different. Your welcome for the post! The City has ordered more of the Scorpions, they really like the packing mechanism. Curbtenders are being purchased as well on refurbished 2003 Peterbilt Chassis'. The City may also purchase some Pendpac Alleygators. We will see...

  • @JaccobDalton Hmm I got up to date on all your videos yet I didn't notice improvements in the dumping angle...

  • @Trashman242 Yea, hopefully i can post some newer video of the truck. I think the dumping angle is suppose to be like Bridgeports to where the cart tilts forward because of loose grippers so all the debris gets out. And also, my recycle driver purposely dumps the cart back and forth (twice) to make sure all the debris is out. He does the same method on Curbtenders too.

  • @JaccobDalton Dadee sure did change their arm design a little bit. Go to the rdennis video of the Scorpion packing. I believe there is the 4th Phoenix Scorpion in there on 300s and recycling. When Mr. Campbell is talking about the packer is when you can see the newest arm Design. Look closely.

  • Yeesssss finallly!!!!!!!!!!!!

What fuel is this guy using? It sounds different but I see a diesel tank?

So much better then Curbtender it doesnt grab carts and smash them.

    Like/Fav no doubt.

  • @trashmaster684 Thank you!! This is a "Clean Diesel" truck, I think diesel? Yea the hydraulics make the truck sound different. I really like this truck too!

  • @JaccobDalton But to me it seems like that isn't necessary with Curbtenders, you don't waste so much time (and wear on the truck) if it all comes out the first time. Just my thoughts.

Well either way I'll always like Curbtenders better unless Dadee changes their design or something...

  • @100Burrtec100 lol yup thank you!

  • cool i was waiting for this day to come ! lol
