  • @TheVineyarder 2 yrs after Minskoff

  • Best version of this song. Period.

  • @grai me too although some years later and in Cumbria lol.

  • OHHH MY GAY GOD .. I was THERE!!!

  • Man...I gotta say...BETTE IS INCREDIBLE! She was incredible in the 70's...and she is STILL incredible TODAY!

  • I remember seeing this particular show..Bette did a tour of smaller venues..I got to see her in Boston at the Paradise and at the Copacabana in NYC..wow that seems ages ago..the super duper show was 2 yrs before at the Minskoff in new York, called Clams on the Half Shell

  • yes

from Songs For The New Depression

    and Broken Blossoms

I love tragedy from sftnd and the disco version of Strangers In The Night!!

The art work for Depression was amazing - a beautiful Amsell drawing of her on the inner sleeve...

I repeat I WANT TO GO BACK TO THE SEVENTIES!!!!!

  • How could I forget! I saw her in Florida in 2004. She was as energetic as ever.

It is not too late, you may still get a chance to see her. She might perform in London. I love her first album (1972). I still listen to it. Skylark and Drinking Again are also two of my favourites. Did you ever hear her sing "Yellow Beach Umbrella" and "Old Cape Cod"? Great songs!

  • I'm SOOOOH jealous you saw her live when you were 18!!!!

Just owning all of her albums changed my life!

  • my cousin somehow got her first album sent from the US and lent it to me in 1974 when I was 15

    Skylark and Drinking Again

I was like "I need to borrow this..."

Imagine in the North of England how it blew me away

No-one knew who she was or even what I saw in her singing

    but I "got" her immediately

One of my big regrets is not seeing her live
