Markus Taylor, author of The Best Party Ever, explains how to make a chocolate martini and a standard martini. Keep in mind that Markus is not a big fan of gin. His suggestion of a teaspoon or less of Vermouth is a little much for some. Purist insist that you use only a splash of Vermouth in a martini. Some swirl the Vermouth in the glass then pour it out. Others think waving a glass of gin in front of a bottle of Vermouth is plenty.
