Weimaraner chases & catches squirrel..YIKES!!

Winter, my 7 1/2 month old Weimaraner chases a squirrel after branch breaks and it falls from tree. Dusty, my Australian Shepherd tries to get in on the action. Look at Winter's face after I make her drop the squirrel...she doesn't understand why she can't have it! The squirrel wasn't harmed and escapes back to the tree.

@Anneliengqvist Its not hurting the dog mentally. A responsible dog owner would make the dog drop it, not let it kill it. Shes a great owner with a very obedient dog, IMHO.

My Weimaraner is 6 mo old and already caught one. I rewarded him with treats.

hahahaha! i love wiemies<3 hey hunting is what they do, i truly love his WTF face lol. My baby Jersey (11 yr old Weimie, still full of energy) is the same way. Any animal thats 25 lbs and under... he considers food

@chinbunny1 Cont and for once its nice to see a video where the owner does the right thing by making the dog drop it, and calling him off. You have very obedient dogs, and that's awesome. Whenever i comment on the dog killing things videos, I get all kinds of people who tell me its natural, and you can't control a dogs natural instinct. Well, you just proved them all wrong. :P

if you still read this video, i am sorry that you caught all kinds of hell from the irresponsible dog ownership crowd. i also own a hunting breed who does not kill animals. You did the right thing, and you have beautiful dogs.
