It is a Very real part of Japan , I have Japanese friends , and Live in Japan , But I can speak Moderate Japanese and I am a Musician , those 2 things give me at least a little bit of an "Open Door" but .......There are Closed doors , There are a Lot of people struggling very hard , Add to it 3/11 and the Massive amount of Evacuees The " Hinan hito " They are the focus of so many Help systems while the Working Poor go unnoticed . But when you compare tp Greece and Italy and Syria ...........

@WeAreWorldTV yeh man, i am pretty old. its just bloody unbelievable that I'm almost 50 years old. loads of experience. I'm in the process of shooting a docu on african american japanese american relations during ww2, and how some african americans hide japanese americans and safeguarded them from internments in the camps. I'm shooting it especially for nhk and its called waruii gaijin. by the way, you should check out my book black passenger yellow cabs. let me know what you think

this is an excellent documentary and a wonderful complement to my book, black passenger yellow cabs: A Memoir of Exile and Excess in Japan. There are problems here, but I've been here since 01 and its home. But I am very glad I'm not japanese. I love being a foreigner in japan.
