Trimming date palms in Khairpur

When I last visited Khairpur, the home of Dates in Sindh, I got an opportunity to make a video of the hardy laboureres of Sindh, who risk their life and limb to climb up the giant date palm trees and do the cleaning and trimming of the tree which is a very important task. The amount that is paid to the labourer does not match the labour he puts in, but nevertheless he accepts it because of the abject poverty prevailent in rural Sindh. This video will show the hard labour which goes to trim and clean one single date palm tree, and remember there are many many others to look after in a date palm grove.
I salute the hardy poor workmen of Sindh, who toil to make both ends meet.
