  • Timex is the only watch I've ever owned. Not classy, not expensive, just good stuff.

  • @inkey2 correct.....there were no jewels (that I can ever remember seeing) inside a mechanical timex. They were pretty crude looking movements but built pretty durable. I think even the balance staves were very thick.

  • @KTSEROV2351

I wore analog Timex watches in the 70's and I wear a current Timex Easy Reader analog now and the watches were just as cheap looking/feeling back then as now BUT Timex is a very durable and accurate watch even today.

  • wow...thats pretty impressive considering it was a "mechanical" watch. Probably has no jewels in the movement to break. And the staff did not break either. They made them pretty good back then

  • only for 9.99$! More like 50 dollars today!

  • I love it when Jeff Dunham referenced Timex watches in his "Spark of Insanity" Tour. Rofl "It takes a lickin' and keeps on ticking".

  • they used to make timex better in these days, the newer ones feel cheap(lower quality) than from the 70's
