Heiko Koester is an articulate and very experienced Permaculture designer, gardener, and teacher in Eugene, OR. In this video he speaks about soil building methods on two different sites. He goes into some depth about mulching with leaves, annual cover crops, and "chop and drop" biomass production from perennials. This video is part of the online Permaculture Design Course (HORT 285) taught by Andrew Millison and Marisha Auerbach through Oregon State University's Extended Campus.
