Reichart isn't a republican he is independant.

I got a call from one of Burner's
"supporters" asking for a last minute donation. I told him I would donate on line. He asked me if I would donate through "Blue Dogs" I said NOWAY would I go through the Bush Dog site. WTH, was that? I will
donate to mocrats like Burner to get
Blue Dogs OUT OF OFFICE & that includes
Rahm Emanuel. Of coarse he's keeping a
low profile now that he thinks his job
has been done. Obama better not
replace Perlosi with Bush Dog Emanuel.
His first test.

To recap: Darcy Burner said she got a degree in economics. Turns out her degree is in computer science with an emphasis in economics. From Harvard.
Her Republican opponent's campaign jumped on this as "outrageous." This issue is now the cornerstone of his campaign, judging by the number of Youtube spots he has about this versus any other issue.
As for Darcy's response to the whole thing: she seems to be acting like a politician.

Rep. Dave Reicherts official Congressional biography-
REICHERT, David G., Kent Meridian High School, Renton, Wash., 1968; B.A., Concordia Lutheran College, Portland, Oreg., 1970.
Reichert never earned a B.A. from Concordia in 1970. They didnt grant their first bachelors degree until 1980. What Reichert has is a two-year Associates degree from a small, Christian, Junior College. Reicherts official bio, which he has allowed to go uncorrected for four years, is an undisputed lie.

When will we be seeing this ad on TV? Hurry!
Why doesn't he just say "She has a degree in economics" if that's the case? He never does - he says the degree is in computer science with a "specialization" in Econ. She said the degree was in economics. Now she's got an ad claiming that she earned her "degree" but even it doesn't claim "degree in economics". I'm all for her, but this doesn't seem very convincing yet.

Burner's stated on at least two occasions she has a 'degree in economics'. That controversy is what this commercial is attempting to address.
