Steve is a great role player and one of the smartest players around. He wouldn't hit as many off the dribble or with defence on him like ray or reggie, but he is one of the great all-time spot-up shooters. I like the story of his fight with Michael in Chicago. Michael kept pushing him in practice and they started throwing punches. Luc Longley had to get between them! Steve wouldn't back down from Michael or anyone.

@fannypak2 true point - but i do need to point out that kerr is the only player in HISTORY to go 50-90-50 for a season (50% FG, 90% FT, 50% 3P-FG). Ray-ray and Reg were better overall players, but not better pure shooters. Check out the book "The Art of a Beautiful Game" by Chris Ballard, written in 2008 - he has a chapter about the pure shooter. If you're an NBA fan, you'll definitely like the book (written in 2009).

@chitownsuperfan ray allen or reggie miler are the best shooters ever, but he is definitively up there. but it really doesn't matter cause he pushed the spurs on to the finals where they would take home the championship

I remember this game. Its one of the best games ive ever seen. Stevie kerr was one fire on this one.
