This is my second time doing my Dry Twistout but this time I did it with Shea Butter only instead of my other oils. LOVE THE RESULTS waaay better! I just got some and made my own mixture and LOVE this stuff!! FOR REAL! Ya'll need to get some! So enjoy the style...I've been rocking this style 2 weeks now (I re did it a few times) and get so many compliments on it.

Day 1:

Wash Hair (Creme of Nature, Organix Coconut Milk Conditioner)

Twist Hair into twist to stretch hair and let it dry

Toook me about 2 hours to dry

Now re-twist hair..I flat twisted the front and did a regular two strand twist in the back and used shea butter.
Straw set the ends

Day 2:

Wake up and take out
Pull apart and fluff
annnnd Boom!

Enjoy!! :)

  • This was a great video! I am tired of hard curly fro twist outs. (I use gel mixed with oils - doesn't work too well.) I have been mulling over just using shea butter and you have confirmed that this is the way to go.

I love the straws on the ends. Brilliant! You get the curly effect but don't lose much length.

    Great job and beautiful hair!

  • @NappyNFree Thank you!! Let me know how it turns out!

  • I also wear my hair in twistouts...I've been looking for a lotion that will keep my hair moist and keep the curls in all day...I live in a very windy enviroment...as result I lose some of my curls...I will definitely try the shea, coconut, and olive oil method. What brands do you use? Are they 100% coconut, olive or shea oils? where can I order them?

  • @zing55 Yes they are 100% natural. I get my oils from Vitamin Shoppe, GNC or Whole Foods

  • i never thought of putting straws on the end ... its easier than rollers .... and easier to sleep on.. thanks for the idea..

  • @thatcutecapricorn No prob!
