(ہسپانيہ کي سرزمين ، بالخصوص قرطبہ ميں لکھي گئ)
عشق کے مضراب سے نغمہ تار حيات
عشق سے نور حيات ، عشق سے نار حيات
اے حرم قرطبہ! عشق سے تيرا وجود
عشق سراپا دوام ، جس ميں نہيں رفت و بود
رنگ ہو يا خشت و سنگ ، چنگ ہو يا حرف و صوت
معجزہ فن کي ہے خون جگر سے نمود
قطرہ خون جگر ، سل کو بناتا ہے دل
خون جگر سے صدا سوز و سرور و سرود
شوق مري لے ميں ہے ، شوق مري نے ميں ہے
نغمہ 'اللہ ھو' ميرے رگ و پے ميں ہے

آب روان کبير! تيرے کنارے کوئي
ديکھ رہا ہے کسي اور زمانے کا خواب
عالم نو ہے ابھي پردہ تقدير ميں
ميري نگاہوں ميں ہے اس کي سحر بے حجاب
وادا لکبير، قرطبہ کا مشہور دريا جس کے قريب ہي مسجد قرطبہ واقع ہے -
پردہ اٹھا دوں اگر چہرئہ افکار سے
لا نہ سکے گا فرنگ ميري نواؤں کي تاب
جس ميں نہ ہو انقلاب ، موت ہے وہ زندگي
روح امم کي حيات کشمکش انقلاب
صورت شمشير ہے دست قضا ميں وہ قوم
کرتي ہے جو ہر زماں اپنے عمل کا حساب
نقش ہيں سب ناتمام خون جگر کے بغير
نغمہ ہے سودائے خام خون جگر کے بغير

Very nice poem by Dr. Muhammad Allam-e-iqbal. This poem is advice to every Muslim who know its language and previous background of those Muslims they entered in Europe as conquer. This poem tell us most of extraordinary love with God and his Prophet, work, right thinking and religious orientation which all are now absent in our Muslims lives. Allam Iqbal pointed here love which make the Muslim life substantial.
