By numerous requests, this is SFT's flood episode. Henderson residents sandbag the river when torrential rains threaten to flood the river, but there is an even greater threat when a safety valve on the dam becomes inoperable, and the dam breaks. Note the background music during TR and Ryder's scene. It's a version of the new SFT theme which officially debuts in the next episode.

  • Suzi was the daughter of Dr. John Martin and Stephanie Wyatt. Jo "unofficially" adopted her and they were close. Stephanie owned the Henderson TV station and newspaper, and had an affair with Lloyd Kendall (in this episode, he was already married to Liza). Stephanie was a victim of the Henderson slasher, who killed her.

  • @AFornix Suzi was the biological daughter of Doug and Eunice Martin. Eunice was Jo's sister. When Doug died and Eunice married John Wyatt, John formally adopted Suzi. Eunice was murdered in November 1976, and John was later killed in October 1979. At the time John died (and he was an attorney, not a doctor) he was married to Stephanie. Steph and Jo battled for custody of Suzi, and Jo retained custody as she was a blood relative. Stephanie was only Suzi's step mother.

  • @saynotoursoap Just like the USA network. They showed both shows back in the late 1980's, right?

  • @saynotoursoap Thanks for the extra information!

  • @AFornix Thanks for all the info.

  • Wow! Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for posting. I have been waiting for these episodes to be posted...anywhere since AOL took all theirs down. I had no idea SFT ever aired here in the UK. I wish I'd known back then. I haven't seen any of the ones that were shown between January - November 1986.

  • John Loprieno was Danny Walton, Liza's cousin. He left home in California, on his motorcycle to come back to Henderson to live with Stu (his grandfather). He was a stuntperson for the circus, and tried to get TR away from Ryder for himself. I don't know if he was killed off, or just left the show, but he was gone a few weeks after this episode.

  • Ryder was a street wise teen that TR had met when she ran away from Liza and Travis after they adopted her. She was the secret daughter of Estelle and Lloyd and wanted nothing to do with them (Lloyd had two sons: Steve and Alec), and TR knew she was related to them after Liza and Travis adopted her. She was happy living with them, and ran away only after Lloyd wanted to take her back. Ryder was nice enough to take her in and be strret wise and they became boyfriend and girlfriend.

  • Thank you, thank you,. You have the rest of the shows when the town flooded? I want to see more :)
