  • Hi think you for your informative and wonderful video. I have a question..my condo bathtub had a ceramic tile flooring and now everytime someone is taking a shower water is leaking into someone else apartment below. I thought the water drain pipe is leaking and after did some leaking test it was not it. The leaked is on the around the drain pipe exterior through cement. I wonder if you can give me some of your expert advise on how to correct this leak problem before install the new tiles.

  • @Snowcatclaw Go to my AsktheBuilder shopping cart. I have a product there where you can buy a 15-Minute Consult with me. Perhaps I can coach you over the phone.

  • last year I tiled & grouted my bathroom floor getting an amazingly good result just from watching your videos here. This year I tiled and grouted my kitchen walls and boy do they look great. Keep up the good work, a million thanks for your detailed and well shot videos and one small tip: perhaps in the future you could show a wall tiling video with just the tips on what differs from when tiling on horizontal surfaces.

  • @kittinplus4 You're welcome. This video series is coming down this weekend. Well, the last two videos at least. I'm not giving away all the information about how to do stuff for free any longer. This *free* model is not working at all. There's no money in it. You lucked out. There is going to be a fantastic series showing how to install tile on a wall, backsplash, etc. But you'll pay to see it.

  • Hi Mr. Carter: I know you are filtering comments. I,m doing it for some of my videos too. But if you are filtering off all of negatives or ironical comments, all comments left look too much sugar coated and don't look natural. Also, I think, people are thankful too much. It is possible that people can think that all comments was set up artificially. I have nothing against you, just friendly advice. Leave couple of negatives and then give an appropriate respond. You can start with this one.

  • @mun268 Dear Mun268, Did you read my Comment Policy on my main channel page? If not, I highly recommend you do so. It will absolutely make sense to you then.

  • Man, Tim, your home improvement videos are epic! You make all those daunting tasks seem so easy when you show us how to do it. I remember now why I am such a big fan of your videos.

    Take care,

    Greg

  • It would help if you labeled the videos in their title with "Part 2 of 4" so that we can see they are part of a series and where we are in the series...

  • @AsktheBuilder no problem, it was very helpful and I've learned a lot. Good luck with the DVD / paid versions!

  • I like your advice about wetting the rubber float and the tile before grouting. I also pre-seal the tile when I tile with some simple tile spray sealant to make it's surface less porous and it really helped when I went to clean it up after the grout dried.

  • Awesome and simple, Love it!

  • can you strike @ an angle with the rubber float on the edges near the wall too?
