China's Olympic Transformation
As China prepares to host its first Olympic Games in August 2008, it is making every possible effort to showcase China and Beijing's entry onto the international stage. Specific steps include enforcing stricter environmental regulations, granting freer access to foreign journalists and fostering healthier attitudes towards sport.
1) How are the Olympics transforming the policy environment in China? What changes will persist after the Games?
2) What are the risks of an economic slowdown after the Olympics, as experienced by previous hosts?
3) How have the Olympics fuelled new business opportunities for local and international companies?

Simultaneous interpretation in English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Russian
