I don't care what anyone says to the contrary, Whale meat is completely disgusting in taste and is most likely contaminated with heavy metals and beyond safe consumption standards. Given what happened at Minamata, the Japanese would be crazy to eat the stuff, plus, Japanese food is good and whale is like smokey congealed phlegm, talk about a cuisine wrecker ! Japan is all about aesthetics, killing whales is just grubby.
