America Scores National Poetry Slam 2008

Each spring, America SCORES celebrates the achievements of our students across the country with a National Poetry Slam!. Two America SCORES student-poets from each of our 15 affiliate cities will be selected from among 6,000 America SCORES kids for the honor of presenting in New York on this inspiring night. In front of an audience of 300 attendees, our kids will perform their original poetry. To hear one of these poems speaks volumes about the amazing potential and achievements of these children.

Haha! :) It was so poignant for me, bringing his phrase in at the end of the video. I edited this around the election, so it was hard to not get joyfully emotional while cutting this video. :-)
