Here's me relaxing, reclining on the Lay-Z-Boy in front of the TV. Important Tip: There's tremendous value in a flexible approach. If you're too rigid, you just might shatter under extreme stress. Interesting Fact: That's a Hurley 3000 Leg Stretching Machine. Highly Recommended.

Important Safety Tip: I tried Tom Kurz's method from "Stretching Scientifically" and got hurt real bad. Maybe I'm an idiot but I read all his books about 1000 times and tried everything verbatim to no avail. Then I found the books "Relax into the Stretch" along with Bill "Superfoot" Wallace videos and that was the ticket. So I'd be real wary of people who've been stretching since they were 3 trying to show you how to stretch. They molded their body when it was like Play-Doh a long time ago. For the rest of us it takes not only hard work but the right plan. I started stretching in my late 30's to enhance my high kicks in Tae Kwon Do. It took me several months to be able to do a full side split. The Hurley makes it easier by adding progressive increments of resistance over time where you don't have to worry about slipping and splitting yourself in half.

Important Safety Tip 2: When you finally reach a full side split the Hurley can tip backwards! (because your legs are not forward anymore to balance you).

  • Taekwondoist, nice. I am looking to get involved in Taekwondo, therefore I'm trying hard to increase my flexibility. Is the machine built strong enough to endure conistant use? Once you can reach 180 degrees on the stretcher, is it easy to go down into a side split easily or does more work need to be done? Thanks

  • the machine is built to last forever...real quality construction...getting into a sidesplit without the machine is slightly different...more work still needs to be done... i do another stretch by superfoot wallace where you touch your nose to the floor in combination with the machine

  • hey man! Nice side split. Does it hurt? like your story, I'm also trying get full side splits using tom kurz material. But, all I get is frustration. Im trying about 3 moths ago and nothing. Please, save my life, hehe, what do you advice for me?

  • if you're serious about it i'd recommend the hurley 3000. it has a crank system with a readout down to very small increments. 3x a week for 10 minutes stretch for 3-5 sets rest a minute and a half in between. each set should last about 1.5 minutes on which you crank it to max you can handle pause...crank some more...pause crank some more...all for one set...mark down your max each set...last pause hold for longest you can stand... next day try to go one notch more on each set...that's it!

  • how much does the machine cost ?

  • a little over $200

  • wtf its a pic not a fucking video ,dude u should have but the pic on google images not youtube ,you tube

  • y cheat if u stretch everyday will get to the splits

  • WTF GAY ?

  • how long will it take for a person to be able to do a split with this machine?

  • fun fact> the splits are a result of training your muscles. Not sitting on your ass forcing them out of alignment. What a stupid marketing ploy. You don't need to spend money to get your splits.. just time and hard work.

  • the song is just outstanding, sorry but it makes me laugh for the next 10 minutes. I hope it will not come to my mind during mokuso in my Karate class, otherwise I'll start laughing and I'm sure my Sensei would not accept that... la la la la la ... :-D

  • i am a 3rd dan WTF(World Tae kwon do Federation) black belt and i want to know if this helps u in acrobatics because i want to be able to do the flash kick, a better kickout, and do a back flip

  • Music = Fear

  • familiar music. Where is it from?

  • how many minutes a day did you use your stretch machine ?
