You remember Mario Golf? This is just as good if not better! Here I'll be showing you a pretty crazy match against the computer in the back 9 holes of Shining Sands. In the desert. With Kitty-satchel-pyramids. (You learn to just go with it, trust me.)
---------
Okay, now everything you know about golf, forget it! Yeah, I'm stepping up to the tee wearing a hakimachi, boxing gloves - and that wood I'm swinging? It's a BAT. Did I forget to mention that I've got a teleporting pixie as a caddie?
Yeah. That's Super Swing Golf!
Despite the goofy appearances, the Golf physics are pretty spot one which makes for a really rewarding experience when you sink that Birdie!
------
Hole 1 (10):
I'm playing in "Swing Mode". In this you set the power you're aiming for by moving your arms along the path of a regular backswing, lock it with "A", and then do the forward swing in real-time. The game measures how well you did the forward swing and this determines how accurate your shot is. You can see the white line on the left of the bar there, that's perfect accuracy, "Pangya". After you complete your forward swing another line appears there, this shows you how well you did. If it's on the line, PangYa!; if it's in the pink, it will veer off a bit in that direction but otherwise be alright, if it's off the pink, the shot will be pretty darned bad. The less pink showing, the more inaccurate your shots will be if not perfect.
I'm using an alternate suit for Pippin, the computer player (Hana, the girl) has the regular costume for the caddie.
9m is the fastest the wind blows.
Hole 2 (11):
That's a jump panel I'm aiming for, it shoots you forward. Check out my awesome landing!
3:00 - Ok, quick talk on the lay of the land and how accurate your hit is. Check out the power bar at the bottom, see how the pink is off to the side like that? That's it. That's all angular land does. It makes it so that if you err on the wrong side, the shot will be bad, but other than that, if you get a PangYa it will be straight.
3:45 - I'm using a 6I because it's affected a bit less by the wind due to having a lower trajectory. Unfortunately, I misread the distance as 35y for some reason and overshot to all heck.
Hole 3 (12):
6:12 - I'm in a bunker, which really isn't that big a deal in this game. The pink area tends to shrink, but if you can get a "PangYa", all it does it cut off that bit of percentage shown in the lower left. Heck, you can often use WOODS in them.
7:10 - That's a more'n decent putt, eh?
The caddies always look so excited. They also look pretty moé.

Everyone tells me it looks like she REALLY has to go. She's the least intrusive because she just teleports to where the ball goes, everyone else runs after it.

Wow, I can't believe I've never heard of this game. Looks like a ton of fun! But I've never been one good with golf games. I'm like what does that bar down there do, the one on the left? What does this club do?

I try to explain some of this in the video descriptions for these three. Woods hit farther, have a lower arc, and tend to roll after landing. Irons don't go as far, arc higher, and roll less on impact.
The bar down there is the power/accuracy bar. I explain this a bit in the description.

Someone actually playing golf?!? Amazing! I never thought ANYONE played golf games but me and the people paid to.

I've always loved Golf games. I like how they challenge you in more than a reactionary way - you have to actually calculate various variable to make that "perfect shot", and if you're really nutty, you can do some serious math to home in on that hole!
And... I've actually been playing this game a little too much. I went and recorded all the cutscenes and plan on making them live after I get a "menu system" working for them.
It's a lot of footage - and there's no movie review in the game.
