Observed April 9, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.: Military convoy headed northbound on the 101 freeway near Paso Robles, California. (Camp Roberts is north of Paso Robles.) Troop transports, trucks, humvees, etc.
Looks like equipment-carrying type vehicles. Probably Nat'l Guard - Up north we have a lot of that equipment at our national guard armory year-round. They use it for firefighting. I don't think this particular run here is martial-law related.
Heading for Camp Roberts I'd assume, since they were heading Northbound on the 101 through Paso. Quite odd though, for they usually do not travel in that large of a convoy, nice looking out.
