@darthsideous1968 I noticed watched again and the door for the electrical equp was opened without the voice command of Tony the chlorine monster was a flop doll in the hands of the machine monster and the backround music sounded like the basis for the New Wave music I loved in the 80's I'm a HUGH Soft Cell fan "tainted love" 81!!! take care again!!!

David Prowse the first Darth Vader played the robot alien monster in this episode Thanks

Wow, you don't see aliens like THAT on Star Trek!

I enjoyed the beta cloud as well because, even though the monster was incredibly cheesy, it still was pretty spooky! Every body on Alpha is ill, and only 2 or 3 people were left to fend for themselves against a marauding monster and a faceless voice with no where to run.
Thanks for the great comments bud! It's nice to find a fellow space 1999 fan who loves the show as much as I did & still do and share some great memories!!!

@darthsideous1968 This episode may bee my favourite haha Maya had a lot of transformations and my ole favourite chlorine monster made a come-back there was the cute mouse and the monster she turned into to battle the machine monster! It was too bad her and Dorzak couldn't of teamed up poor Taybor lost his prize also! Thanks for your post and have a good week Psychons rule Dorcons suck haha again!

bleeeeeeeleeeeleeeeeleeeee
lol!!!!
In all honesty, like you, I watched all episodes in season 1 & 2 I did enjoy it as much as you did but looking back I loved the fact that in season 1 you always had that creepy dark ominous tone in the music and throw in the occasional skeleton, charred or rotting corpse but it was the moral message & meaning at the end that left me wanting to see the next episode! Season 2, as groovy & wacky as it was, really didn't have that.
Great show!

@darthsideous1968 Very interesting I was one of those 70's kids that watched this and it was the monsters and the funky 70's feel but for me it was MAYA that I watched waiting for the cool sound of her turning into something and going wow I love the chlorine monster! This is so awesome its like going through my childhood a second time I feel young again!

@csf915 I think it was the same creature an oops moment indeed!
Personally I love the relationships that go on between the characters. Thank you for all the space 1999 episodes.

Producer Fred Freiberger, who wrote this episode using an alias, appears to have lifted elements from the movie "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms", which he co-wrote.
ThanksWhiteRaraAvis for posting both seasons of Space!
