June 21, 2009 - At a candlelight vigil in San Francisco's UN Plaza to show support for the demonstrations going on Iran and to express anger at the casualties inflicted on the Iranian people by it's own government, an activist reads a poem composed by an Iranian student in San Francisco. The poem memorializes Neda Soltani, a young woman who was killed by a basiji bullet while watching the protests taking place before her. The death of this woman has made her the symbol for all of the repression that the Iranians have endured from their government.
