Difference between a violin and a fiddle. about 10000$.
Actually the difference is similar to the difference between an acoustic guitar and a classical guitar. Can have different strings but can also have the same. 90% of the difference is the way its played.
Usually big fiddle players need more expensive instruments to be able to have the action required for difficult fiddle pieces.

first left handed fiddle player i ever saw ....

There is only one way to hold a violin and a violin bow. However, there is no wrong way to hold a fiddle or fiddle bow. hehe
-
he holds the bow weird
is that how you hold it for fiddling?
-
Oops, forgot the sound post and bassbar...little more effort and cost, but not that unheard of.
-
Why a custom bridge? You just turn your bridge around to face the other way and then string it E, A, D, G. Done...
What is the difference between a Fiddle and a Violin arnt they the same?

Same thing. Although you can get away with calling a viola a fiddle you'd be in trouble calling it a violin. Then there's the double bass, sometimes called the bass fiddle.

JonathansGurl91...Paul has left a voice mail with the name of this tune (and the other tune on the other video) they sound a bit French Canadian so I will check the spellings and be back to you.
