  • COULD YOU TEACH ME SOME FUNKY SCALES? I HAVE A DX-100 BUT CANT DO MUCH WITH IT...I GUSSE IM NOT THAT FUNKY,LOL BUT I WANNA BRING DA FUNK BACK TO DA PUNK NOW,

  • @BLAZE45 Thanks..I learned how to be funky from Little Stevie Wonder..He was 10..the song I suggest all new funk players to learn is "Fingertips" by Stevie wonder..Its in C Minor blues..and is mostly just 7 or 8 notes..these few licks he plays in that song can be used in many a solo. please check him out.:)

  • @BLAZE45 yeah OLD Skool..lol..if you can learn the basic parts of this song you will then start to understand soul improv..:)

  • @BLAZE45 My mother use to play a soul song called "Fever"..or you give me fever. This song has the same basic blues scale notes as Stevie song. Roger was the one to show me the missing note in my scale..He started his improv on the keys in C minor,

  • it takes a black man to do that...no offense

  • Thanks man..I don't know about that though..I know some white musicians who can take this track and put some fire to it too..

But it may take feeling the black streets to get as funky as I'm feeling on this one..who knows??
