  • PLEASE TELL ME WHRER YOU GOT THIS!!!

  • WWDC

  • first, is this a core 2 duo machine (leopard will run differently depending on if your running a core duo VS core 2 duo, one is 32 bit, the other is 64). And if it is 64bit how much faster is it than tiger?

  • Tiger is too slowly. The Mac are a Core Duo 2.0 Ghz 32bit

  • so is leopard faster than tiger or slower?

  • too fast

  • I've been a Windows fanboy for years, but since the release of Leopard, compared to the piece of crap that Vista is, I have to say Leopard FTW!

  • ....or you can install ubuntu and then find mac theme and install awn.

  • ol damn safari opend so fuckin fst lol computer specs?

  • Right click the taskbar and choose hide all windows. That is how you minimize multiple windows at the same time.

One thing I really like about Macs is that if you click the close button, the program doesn't turn off, you can simple open the program again, SUPER FAST too.

  • Well, for me it is all about the software.

There are tonnes of software on my Mac which neither of the default software on Windows can compete with. I don't really feel like buying a music program, a office suite, a simple image editing program with LOTS of innovative features, a web editing program etc. etc. for more than a Mac costs.

My Mac came with all that, and if you look at the software and all, you do save on buying a Mac.

  • Oh and yes I do agree with thing about Macs being good for video editing and photo editing. What Apple does they do well. It is just not for the mainstream and enthusiast market.

  • If you actually researched things because apparently you do not you will find that Crysis will run on quite a few if not most new Windows PC's and some older ones. Crysis will run on my Notebook and I only paid $986 for it. Not every Mac PC can run Crysis the same goes for Windows PC's but it is way more common to find a Windows machine built to run that a Mac. A lot of Mac users use older machines with upgraded hardware to run a newer version of Mac OC X.

  • I am not a Mac basher. I respect the merits of Mac PC's and Windows PC'c. I just don't have a need for the merits of a Mac. It has been proven that Mac PC's cost almost twice as much as an equally equipped Windows PC. The only Mac PC that can be upgraded with anything besides new RAM is the Mac Pro which is quite expensive for what you get. You can upgrade almost any Windows PC hardware even on Notebooks.

  • Also do you know how many actual Windows PCs out there are powerful enough to play Crysis? probably less than 1 percent, hardly anybody can run that game, so don't just include Macs

BUT, if you were a gamer, Leopard has a feature called "Boot Camp" where you can actually install a separate partition with Vista and run it native just like a normal PC.

But Macs are known for being great with video and photo editing, both of which benefit greatly from a fast processor, which means youre a jackass

  • Okay, thats if you ADD THINGS, but the fact remains that the computer is still 1800 dollars. If you customize and add options with any other PC manufacturer, not just Apple, they charge ridiculous prices. Nice try tho. Optical drive isn't required either is it? I can't remember the last time I really needed to use my disc drive other than installing games or burning discs, but I would do that on my desktop not my laptop. N people aren't buying an Air to play games, you're logic is horrible.

  • Yeah, I have noticed the same. I run Leopard and Vista on my black Macbook and since I ran Bootcamp to install Vista, I have realised how much of a resource hog it is. Just having Office 2003 and IE open, Vista even wastes much more battery power than Safari and iTunes on Leopard. However since I need to use Office, Vista is a necessary evil on my Macbook, because on my other computer, I only run XP for gaming.
