Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka, becomes the latest high profile figure to remit his tax arrears to KRA, as pressure mounts on members of parliament to beat the July deadline. Kalonzo paid up 4.4 milion shllings, as the taxman also confirmed that President Mwai Kibaki paid his bit last week. But as Pamela Asigi reports, the payment of tax by the top politicians is now a big political show, as the battle to score political points shifts to Times Tower.

@karuitha its ashame. i remember that guy Julias Kipngetich on capital talk saying he would like to see resources management as campaign ageda, water management............ I think we won't be seeing that. The worse thing is Kenyans will applaud them for paying tax!
