A compilation of Christmas carols and excerpts of well-known classical pieces. A contemplative, instrumental piece for those who would enjoy 10 minutes of reflective time on our Savior's birth. The idea was inspired by my dad, Hank Lankford, who had heard Beethoven's 2nd movement of the Pathetique Sonata interwoven with Silent Night on the radio. When trying to recreate his idea, I decided to expound on this idea using a variety of Christmas hymns and classical pieces. This arrangement was my gift to my dad many years ago. It was also my father who suggested I record and put this on YouTube. With the help of my son, Chris, we did it! Here it is.... Merry Christmas, Dad. I love you!

  • @6:44 what is the name of that song??

  • this is so great! i turned this on so i could read my theology homework (the bible) and i nearly teared up... so great, so beautiful

  • A true gem you've created, my dear sir, a perfect mixture of classical and christmas music. I wonder how it would sound if it was performed by an orchestra.

  • I must thank again for this wonderful music and video! This has been the accompanying music for two meals

  • In response to that person who doubts my age. You are somewhat correct in that I am closer to 88 years old. Yes, I am an old man and when a young boy I enlisted in the USMC, fought with 2nd Bn., 9th Marines on Bougainville, Guam and Iwo Jima. I know death and loss and sacrifice and courage. I now appreciate, more than most, the beauty in this world and this medley of Xmas and classics is truly beautiful and joyous to the ear.
