I told my girlfriend about how much i loved this song the night before we went out to this country bar...We were sitting down at the bar, and the live band said "doing a request for tom petty". I turned to my girlfriend and said, "Wouldn't it be crazy if they played you wreck me?" Then I heard those bad ass chords ring through the whole bar. Never was there a more crazy dancing white guy

I like TP but this song is what Clear Channel loves and will bombard the radiowaves with it for years to come because its what they consider "safe" rock.. I consider it lame, its simple, its easy to play, its redundant and takes zero musical ability to write it, play it or to like it. I would bet that TP would agree with me because to make money he needs to be on the radio which is what he accomplished with this lame ass song.

I'm a teenager and I love Tom Petty. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, he has great music and I'd much rather annoy my neighbors with this than with the crap my generation listens to. I wish we had more musicians like him still making music like this.<3

I have been a Tom Petty fan since 1995!!!!! I had NO idea that Randy Jackson was his drummer, you learn something NEW EVERYDAY!!!!! Rock on Tom and Randy!!!!
