  • Ladies & gentlemen, terpsichoren temptation & mellifluous melodies, for your delectation & delight, sung by the most charming & coquettish choristers but chiefly. . . yourselves !

Ah, The Good Old Days !

Thank you for sharing this x x

  • One of Queen Elizabeth II's favorites. She's named a beloved log cabin on her Balmoral estate the Old Bull and Bush after the pub near Hampstead Heath, immortalised in this old music-hall song. So reports her cousin Margaret Rhodes in her new autobiography, The Final Curtsey, due out in July 2011 and currently being serialized in the Mail on Sundays.

  • classic song:) pretty good for an Aussie:)

  • I sung this in my school play :)

  • It's all a bit flirtatious if you ask me.

  • @bobbyboy75uk Its still a good pub!

  • i used to work in the old bull & bush that she's singin about. was a few years ago now but i think it's still there. on northend road in golders green. gastro pub last time i saw it. sad to see such an iconic british pub go the way of the euro-trash.

we had to memorize the history about florrie forde so we could talk about it to the punters. funny thing is tho, years later and this is the first time i'd heard the song! lol

  • to the little pub my footsteps will stray ...

if you have come here for old time's sake i owe you a pint!!!!!!

  • I see pubs closing down around me and it makes me sick how one of our tradtions is dying. The pub is part of our lives.

  • most london boroughs had a pub called the bull and bush , jim
