Joe Jackson Live in Sydney 1991

'Steppin' Out' performed live at the Sydney State Theatre in September 1991. I saw Joe on this tour (for the first time) at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham UK in May of the same year. You normally save your biggest hits for the end of the show but Joe just came out alone, sat at the piano and sang this. It was one of the stand out moments of my life I won't forget. He sang and played it so beautifully that I started to cry. I'd never seen or heard anything so perfect until then. The voice and the piano made me shiver (I can feel it again as I type this). How can music do this? it can touch you in a way you can't explain. I've looked for this on youtube before without success so I've uploaded it for you. Watch, listen and enjoy

OMG!!!! Thank you sooo much to have uploaded this video!!!! I was looking for it everywhere.. this song makes me cry.. i was a little girl of 6 years old when my dad used to make me listen to it, it was like a dream... from the deep of my heart, thank you so much.. I too saw this tour in Chicago at the beautiful Chicago Theater. Tears in my eyes as well.

@kingscoop really.. thanks with all my heart!!! Also the next song, "It's different for girls" sang by Joe and Mindy Jostyn is amazing.. I think it's the best version ever: he is a master at the piano and the best expression of his music is when it's played just by him with his voice and his piano.. no words... If I could express a desire it would be returning back in the future to be at this concert!!!
