I was almost asleep when someone rang the bell. Coco jumped awake. What the heck? Its passed midnight. Who could it be? Probably my mombut she has a key doesnt she? Oh my goodness. What if she bought me a present!? Id be so happy that at least she bought me something. I ran down stairs. But then I remembered every time she leaves. She always lasts exactly a week. She should arrive on Sunday or Monday? Then, who is it? I peeked through the window and no one was there. I opened the door slowly. Then I saw a bunch of rose bushes out there and like a million balloons. Oh my god, she did get me something! Awmom? I said. Nick came out of a bush. Mom? Since when do I look like a lady to you? O-Oh, its you. I said. Im sorry to disappoint you No its fine. Its just that, my mom never came back she didnt even call me. She hasnt come back since that time you slept over. My dad didnt even call me. I said. I put my head down and just looked at the floor. Well, I told you. I will always, always be there for you. No matter what. He said putting his arm around my shoulder. I started crying. For a reason. Are you crying? D-Dont! Its okayshell come back soon and tell you sorry she was busy, she couldnt call you, blah blah blah. She has a good explanation! Dont worry He said. I looked up at him and wrapped my arms around his neck. Then pulled him towards me into a hug. Im not crying cause of that Nick. Im crying cause im happy. I said. How are you happy? That youre parents dont call you on youre birthday? He said into my shoulder. No, that you brought all this and gave me coco I said still tearing up. I was so happy that Nick brought this for me also. Thank you. Thank you SO much Nick I said. Um, youre welcome. He said. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I was still hugging him. It was a long happy hug. Im glad he gave all this to me. I soon pulled away. He smiled at me. I gave him a smile back. So do I help you bring this all in? Uh, yeah sure. Please and Thanks. Okay, where do I put them? Living room? Or in youre room? Living room, I want my Living room decorated, with all these stuff you gave me Okay, Ill put them in places where theyll look like if they are juststuff to decorate He said. He grabbed a bush of flowers and walked inside. I grabbed some balloons and walked inside. Nick walked outside to grab something else. It went back and fourth. Coco was on the couch just watching. Now that Nick is here. Im gonna ask him what Coco is. I dont wanna check what it is. Thats disgusting. Nick went in to put flowers in and I left outside to get the last of it. The last of it was a teddy bear. It was black with a I Love You, Happy Birthday heart-shaped sign. The heart was purple. Oh my gosh I said while picking it up. It was adorable. Nick came behind me, wrapped his arms around my waist. You like it? Nick, I love it! Thanks. I said. I turned around and hugged him once again. While I pulled away, I gave him a kiss on the cheek in return. He stood still for a while. I was just looking and cuddling the teddy bear. It was amazing. Nick just smiled and I was already smiling. Thank you, so much Nick. I have to say. Its the best birthday present anyone has ever given me. Youre welcome, thats good. I wanna be the best gift giving person you will ever have in youre life. He smiled. You already are. And you will be I said. He smiled once again. Coco came out and barked at me. Why isit barking? Shes mad Shes a girl!? You didnt know that? I didnt wanna check I said. She barked louder. What Coco!? I yelled. Shes mad! Nick said. Why? Well, not mad. Jealous. Leave the teddy bear alone. Drop it He said. Wh- Drop it! He repeated. I dropped it and Coco soon stopped. She ran to it and started biting it. NO! Coco leave it alone! I said. I didnt want her to destroy it. It was the best thing ever. Coco! You are more adorable than this! I said. She looked at me and stopped biting it. Thank you I grabbed it and hugged it. Nick looked at me Its not true. I whispered. He smiled. Coco, go inside. Go to my room Ill be there in a while. I said. She obeyed and went in. Did you train her? Yes I did. Thats part of the present. He said. Nick, youre the best. I honestly dont know how to repay you I said. He smiled. Dont worry, its youre birthday. You deserve it. ButI kind of know a way to repay me He said walking closer to me. Oh my god Nick! Im serious! I said. Laughing. Im kidding. Dont worry, its fine. You dont need to repay me He said. I smiled Well ill let you go, I need to go He chuckled. Okay I said sadly. Ill see you later okay? Okay. Bye I said. He hugged me and I got on my toes to give him another kiss on the cheek. I smiled. And yes hes way taller than me. Thats what I love. He smiled at me and walked down the path from my house. I walked in and looked back one more time. I closed the door and smiled at all the stuff in here. I love Nick. Hes amazing
