First things first: Evolution was NOT proved wrong 150 years ago. Secondly Darwin did NOT doubt his theory nor did he regret it. That was an admitted HOAX by a religiou newspaper publisher who later was sued successfully for slander. Evolution wasn't thought up 150 years ago either. The first theory of modern evolution is more than 2000 years old. Also THEORY does not mean unproven or untested. That word is Hypothesis. A theory is the explanation for a thing that has not been proven wrong.
