Profile F-18 with KFm3 airfoil

This is maiden flight of modified "Tomhe F-18" profile pusher jet with KFm3 airfoil. Actually this is the second maiden flight, since the plane was way too tail heavy at first and the battery location had to be changed. It seems that the KFm3 airfoil changed the center of gravity of the original design forward by a few inches.

The plane was built by a 13-year-old kid, his first scratchbuild ever, not too bad :)

More videos of this plane will follow. It was observed that the tailerons are not giving enough control, so ailerons will be added.

is there torque roll ? n where the cg exact location cus i also want to made mine kf airfoil.

There is some torque roll in the lauch, but it can be mitigated by launching with half throttle.

I don't remember the exact cg location, but I recommend that you put it at least 3 inches forward of what Tomhe recommends.

Great flight ShadeGrown. Started cutting foam on one of these last night, after maiden I may try a kf airfoil. I've flown the F22 with kf airfoils, and they fly great.
