My son ALWAYS tells me. Simple is better. I wish that you would do a tutorial on making masks. I have always been intrigued with masks. Thanks for sharing a personal moment in your life.

Dear Gary! I have been watching quite a lot videos of yours. I am an ongoing arttherapist and to me the message of your dream is pretty simple, you already said it yourself.
I love your art, but I often caught myself thinking at certain moments, watching you work: Why doesn't he stop? I thought please stop now! It is done!
I find your techniques are really awsome and interesting, but art is not all about it. I figure that out myself. I love to see your passion. I love to see you! :-)

Capricorn, Do you know the story of the Zen potter who threw 500 pots and then picked up one and broke the rest? That is exactly the story I thought of when I heard your dream. The one pot represented the essence of that potter's work--all his effort of the five hundred pots were reflected in that one piece. Are you too searching for the zenith of your work? I am. That balloon could be the preemptive representation of the essence of your art.

Gary, I can't find the video that shows how you molded the basic face in the first place. I have a gorgeous book of different culture's faces and icons and so much inspiration to do something original, but I'm not sure how to start because all I have is pictures to look at -- nothing tangible/ 3-D to cast from. I think I missed a video somewhere and I can't find it! :) Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think that the dream is telling you that you lack the realization of what your artwork is worth. You are special and spiritual. You teach people your secrets. Don't take yourself for granted! Your future is bright and you hold the secret of the universal message that you get back ten fold what you give out. The dream is a premonition that you will be ultra successful. The man wanted something you created. kinda like "Ali" in Basquiat, my favorite movie.
Thanks,
Cheryl/Sheshola

Love the masks. I can't wait to see what you do with the DeMeng stuff. I love his work. I have rusting bins filled with all kinds of concotions for different patinas and rust. I should glow in the dark between rusting stuff and torching things. Again another great job
Love all your videos so inspiring

Wow, Gary, I just found your youtube videos and love them. Thanks for posting so much of yourself and your work.
About the dream: It meant a lot to me. I put my work on ebay and the simplest ones seem to get the most attention. To me, your painting fit my mood. I think it meant that you are wondering about simplicity. There is simplicity in the most complicated work. I believe it is also saying that the simplest piece can speak to one person. It was a very intersting dream.

Anni thanks so much for taking the time to write this...it is brilliant what you say about the dream. I have been questioning whether to simplify my work down or not and only realised through what you wrote that this is what the dream was about. Thanks for clarifying it! And welcome ;)

I think you are questioning your own art: Which of my art works is authentic? Which is the truest work?...Maybe you are afraid that it might be so simple.

Yes possibly, but for me i always overcomplicate my work on purpose then come back and simplify it. Thanks for ur comment very appreciated ,)

My experience w dreams is that the emotions are the key. What you felt about what was happening is what's talking to you.
Love your doorbell chasers!

I like that and if that is the case then i was feeling my artwork wasn't good enough! But i am always trying to evolve my art anyway. ;)
