Spring Heeled Jack has always been a favorite of mine because unlike other monsters/demons/whatever this man or creature was a prankster. Violent and twisted to be sure but still a prankster. His attacks might have been alarming but they were certainly survivable unlike encounters with most other boogeymen.

@spike9045 More likely a demon from the classical pictures. Spring-Heel Jack is also an interesting name. Disregard Jack, and with some perversion, it's Hell-Sprung. Not entirely meaningful, but certainly entertaining.

@BowmanHath31 it's funnier that his wife is called 'Dot Dot' :)

what about the possibility of a vampire i have heard tales and stories of spring heel jack most people would say demonic being or ghost or just a normal man but see you look back at vampire folklore and tell me there isn't any similarities i mean the whole jumping around and glowing eyes and in some vampire lore they even breathe smoke and flames they do have a tendency to stalk prey at night and well the fingers just yeah i'd say vampire in my own opinion

My guess that this "Sping-Heeled Jack" was some merry prankster who loved to scare people for shits and giggles
Spring heeled Jack is a beast at Parkour/Free running.

I've been fascinated by Spring-Heeled Jack for many years already. I find the similarities between him and our contemporary conceptions of a robot to be highly intriguing, and the fact that he was also very similar to the " Monkey Man of Delhi " who came to be the subject of a similar mass hysteria in 2001, is even more intriguing to me. It's so out there and so absurd that I tend to believe in the existence of Spring-Heeled Jack. Credo quia absurdum, that's what they say...
