Cheap, vile, and despicable. He could have thrown it off any other body part but he threw it right at his face. And HARD.
If I were his coach I would revoke his scholarship and kick him off the team. If I couldn't do that I would at least put him at the end of the bench and never let him on the floor again.
There is no place for this in basketball or any other sport. Throwing a basketball at the face of a defenseless opponent is the ultimate cheap shot.

wtf..i play varsity highschool ball at a good sports school and i play on a good AAU team and none of the coaches will ever tell u to fire a ball at the defenders face to stop from get a 5 second count..u throw it off a leg or foot not a face man

it's actually a very smart play that coaches teach starting in high school. Stop whining, they are D-1 athletes. They can take a ball to the dome. He didn't even get a bloody nose.
