  • how do youy install a 3rd hardrive?

  • If you're using SATA, it's quite easy. IDE on the other hand, you'd need a RAID controller.

  • I have a qstn, do hard drives with sata have jumpers ? if not, am I still supposed to set master/slave ? If yes, how ?

  • i got 2 devices in 1 ide cable. which one i set slave and which one master? sry bad english

  • @GodOfSlain0 IDE can be had cheap, not as cheap as SATA anywhere, but place it against PATA 2.5 laptop drives, those things are as pricey as gold per ounce... DOLLAR A GIG thereabouts

  • The diagram on any given drive is enough to go by, but Maxtor branded ones uses two jumpers stock, and I can't get mine to read, when I removed them for whatever reason, the data seems stuck on it, showing as corrupted when it did read. I'm trying to save it, it's a 30GB Maxtor, 2000 vintage

  • really a great help

  • thanks pal
