today was the first day in a long, long time that i was feeling great with my front squats. it has been a long time since i have gone really heavy and that was just before WSM 09 and i hit 585 lbs, which is a PR for me. on this particular day i ended up hitting 545 lbs pretty easy but then i made a terrible terrible decision that cost me my goal of 600 lbs for the day. as the weight got heavier i was making smaller and smaller jumps. after i hit 545 for an easy single, i told my self to go for 575 but i second guessed myself and then thought 585..... well let the head games begin hahaha. so then i though to myself, "well i have already hit 585 before, how about 590? so i put 590 on the bar.... then i third guessed myself lol and thought " well if im only 10 lbs away from 600 and thats my goal, i should just go for that". well at the time that seemed logical and looking back on it now it just seems like a terrible idea.

my body seems to respond well to small jumps once the weight begins to get high so my CNS can adjust to the weight and its not quite a shock to my body and CNS. well at heavier weight, i was only making 40 lbs jumps, at most, but then for some reason i decide to make a 60 lb jump for a PR!!!! now thats just stupid and thats what cost me this lift.

well ill tell you one thing, i wont make that mistake again.

here was the rep scheme for this

1. 225 lbs x 3
2. 315 lbs x 2
3. 365 lbs x 2
4. 405 lbs x 2
5. 455 lbs x 2
6. 495 lbs x 1
7. 545 lbs x 1
8. 600 lbs x miss
9. 600 lbs x miss

also im very mad at myself on the first 600 lbs attempt because i completely wuss out....

    i was wondering how to get my legs bigger and stronger. the stronger part is comin along easier than the bigger. i was hopin that you would be able to send me a copy of your leg workouts
