@AFNYOAQIS When you use a pen use a ink pen (not gel or ball point roller) that does not dispense much ink.

I am right handed but I have the same problem, although the scale is not as large as yours, my pinky finger still suffers a callous.

I prefer righting vertically when I can so I don't get ink/pencil lead smeared on my hand. (I'm left handed!)
