  • Very interesting...He says "speak and learn," but the word 'listen' never leaves his mouth. His issue is power--with his daughter, wife, and parishoners. His comments are more about control than communication.

  • I AM JESUS, I AM THE 666 IN REVELATION...

THE MARKS / NUMBERS FORMING UPON MY FACE WILL SOON BE TOTALLY UNDENIABLE...

  • Finally, grycer, I do not wish to discuss this matter with you in further detail because your mind is set on what you believe to be true.

It is unkind of you to criticise a person (my father) whom you have never met and know nothing about - it shows poor judgement and a lack of wisdom.

I have encouraged you to listen to Paul Washer, Jeff Noblit and Leonard Ravenhill but if these men did not prove worthy in your eyes, then please read Charles Spurgeon. This man was a wonderful example.

  • Phil Johnson of Grace To You (John MacArthur) ministries wrote an article about Mark Driscoll. Quote:

"Scripture even seems to indicate that unwholesome language signals an impure mind (Matthew 12:34). And yet this is a deliberate, calculated, and persistent practice of Driscoll's. It is practically the chief trademark of his style."

    Matthew 12:34

34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

    God bless you.

  • grycer, read the Bible, I implore you. There is too much at stake for you to ignore the scriptures.

    Ephesians 5:3-4

3 But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.

    Colossians 3:8

8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

  • I plan on messaging you, so I will answer your questions in full detail then. In the meantime I don't believe healthy masculinity was modelled to you, or you would not be trashing Mark Driscoll by saying he is not obeying the holy spirit. You say he takes it too far when Jesus himself took it further. That's wrong of you. You have ignored the harsh strict side of God for far too long. I'll explain further in my message. God bless.

  • grycer, I know the difference - my father was very masculine. No, you are quite right, I do not wish to tell you that you have a valid point because I do not agree with the lengths to which you are taking your cause. I would be remiss if I did not care for your wellbeing.

Driscoll goes TOO far and offends the senses in a negative way. His fervour is not edifying, it is simply crass and unpleasant.

Also, please show me where the scripture tells us that God is both feminine and masculine.

  • You are unfamiliar with what is a masculine or feminine trait. Secondly, you are going to oppose most everything I say because of your pride. You FEEL hurt by my words and don't want to tell me I have a valid point. That's fine. I'm challenging you here, because I get this, you don't. Godly triats are both masculine and feminine, I've took it a step further and distingished what is masculine and what is feminine because you can't. Men don't want to be the proverbs 31 woman just so you know

  • No, grycer, it is not because in light of his masculinity we are all feminine. It is because He is the the First Born through whom everything was created and he is GLORIOUS beyond compare. You are too fixed on the idea of being masculine and need to expand your vision beyond merely being strident. There are other qualities to nurture.

Men can be gentle, tender and loving without compromising their masculinity and labelling it femininity. These qualities are not feminine, they are GODLY.

  • grycer, the manner in which you are speaking to me is derogatory and pugnacious. Degrading sarcasm is an ugly trait and not useful despite what Driscoll believes.

There is a difference between being a strong, capable and reverent man of God... and a bully. Look up 1 Timothy 3:2-3

Unfortunately, you have taken Proverbs 31 out of context and it still does not prove that men and women share gender traits. The behaviour that God expects of a man towards a woman is explained in I Peter 3:7
