The only thing that the movie stayed true to the game was the tittle and that Max Payne's wife and baby were killed thats it. If this movie had a different tittle it would be an ok movie at best. It's like nobony that worked on the movie played the game.

where'd you get that? max payne (the game) was supposed to be film noir to its bones.. sure it was heavy handed story telling but i literally can't think of one aspect of the game that was parodying movies like the matrix. seems like either you or me hardcore missed the point.

this movie didnt stay true to the game, i mean jim bravura is black, max didnt feel like max from the game, mila sucks as mona sax, doesnt follow the plot of the game, jack lupino didnt kill max's family, where the fuck is vlad, and angelo punccinelo, vinnie gognitti? maybe im overeacting, but to think of it, arent you overreacting? i hope you know that you fall into the category of ignorant, immature kid on youtube.

The only ones giving this movie a decent over all score are the people that actually played the game, which tells me all I need to know. I don't care if its an adaption or a remake, the movie has to stand on its own two feet or the only one's that will appreciate it are the one's familiar with the source material.

PS: the game was published two years after THE MATRIX was made, so I guess they ripped off The Matrix too.

Umm, actually I did play the game but could never get past the theatre and freely admit that I don't know shit about video games, but I do happen to know movies and MAX PAYNE, as a movie, tastes like I assume ass tastes like. McNugget06, I sure, can answer any questions you might have about the actual taste of ass.
