@WMATAvids So does that mean that Metro will be retiring the New Flyer C40LFs/C40LFRs and Orion VII OG CNGs when they hit 12 years of age? I don't know much about the C40LFs since I don't live in the District but I always thought that the Orion VII OG CNGs would last until atleast 2020.

@WMATAvids I take back what I said a few days ago about the Orion VIs for West OX depot just got 2024-2025 recently along with DE42LFA #6303! We did lose DE42LFA #6567 to Landover however.

@WMATAvids I just have a feeling that they won't see past 2012-2013.

@WMATAvids Well I am almost certain that the next buses to retire besides the 1997 Orion Vs will likely be the 2000 Orion VIs.

@WMATAvids BTW do you know if the Orion VII OG CNGs are getting their tanks replaced? If so, I if it odd considering that these buses are still kind of new.

@calleyne90 Naw, WMATA wont be doing that...

Why did they have to retire the 1995 Flexible Es? They had like 2-5 more years of life left in them.
calleyne90 4 months ago
@calleyne90 Because they're OLDD, parts cant be bought no more, and they cost to much money to maintain as they age!

@WMATAvids Will this be the reason why the 2002 Neoplan AN60 artics will retire by 2015?

@calleyne90 Its a possibility, since Neo and Detroit Diesel went out of business...but they're getting the rehab process so they have more years on them...
