  • Nice car man is thata real SS car? My dad had a 71 chevelle 396 SS and now he has a 78 trans am 400 4speed done up like the car from smokey and the bandit

  • @xXLEVERACTION78Xx No, it isnt a real SS camaro. It was a straight 6 cylinder with a 2 speed powerglide transmission. It is going to be a an SS clone when finished.

  • These old muscle cars sure have a distinct sound to them. Gotta love it.

I have a '75 Mustang Fastback with a 302 boss engine & custom side pipes. Just startin that baby up & hearing it roar is almost as much fun as driving it.

  • @majorporpoise That first start up is the best!! My first start was with open headers. It was freaking loud!! :) And my throttle linkage got stuck!! Haha. The rod that goes from throttle arm to carb linkage needed to be cut down.

  • wow nice camaro!!! a project, how long did it take you to build that sweet bad boy?

  • It took me about 4 years to get it running on the roads (no lie) With money issues an all..The car was originally a 6 cylinder 2 speed grandma car,I had to change ALOT of stuff. Fun expensive hobby, but to hear it roar to life for the first time was priceless!!!

  • Nice work so far! Can't wait to see it finished up.

Let me know if you need parts ;)

  • Great looking Camaro! I just got a 1968 SS project last September. Unfortunately, I also have to pay for college, so it may be many years before I can have it completely restored. It was an original 350 car, but I don't know if I want to put a 350 back in it or not.

  • That engine looks clean!! Its nice to see muscle cars still driven on the streets!!

  • Ha! I wish..That's just a 330 horsepower 350. I got it new at my local Chevy parts dept. That sucker is tight! The exhaust is a 2 1/2 in. Flomaster system. A lot of people like the way it sounds,Thanks for the comment
