@bobleballe actually Nynorsk is based on all the different dialects around in norway, so unless you live in Oslo or Akershus, you are much closer to speaking Nynorsk than you are to speaking Bokmål, which is considered "standard Norwegian", so saying he/she doesn't speak Nynorsk is just like saying a guy from Newcastle isn't speaking British English
-
@jaysteels Why? Because I think of ways to survive without our oil? Or because I don't really care that much about dead Vikings and language? Or because of my crap Norweigan, because I chose to speak English? Take your pick.
-
@Bidmartinlo you embarrass this country
-
@1PSYTEX1 Yeah! Thats what I want too! Doesn't mean we will forget our old language! ;P
-
@Bidmartinlo well thats were you are wrong, the language/dialect that norwegians spoke before is a slight twist of islandic, or to be more correct, islandic people speak a slight twist of the old norse language.
but i think that all countries in the world should have english as the main language, but that all contries have their own unique dialects, i would love if norway talked with a wide irish axcent, now thats how vikings would have talked if they talked english!

dumt!

English is too mainstream, its better to know Norwegian and then learn English at school. So that you know 2 languages.
-
Norwegian is an awesome language and has a common origin with English :)

Du er einnn fett gris ?

@ShittyGarfunk "I'd rather speak English every day, because it's closer to our old language..." ... så ville jeg si: "... than today's Norwegian!" Noen har bare en vei med ord. -.-
I hate norweigan, and I speak it every day. I'd rather speak english every day, because it's closer to our old language, less annoying to listen to and easier to understand.

@Bidmartinlo You don't really "speak" nynorsk. It's just a written language. Though you should be proud of which ever dialect you have :)
