a journey of Jen - Hardware Sound Scaping (microkorg - K Station)

Me and my friend Genjutsu have a live performance band called a journey of Jen. We perform live without anything being pre-sequenced or prepared in any way.
Normally we gig with 2 laptops running live (mainly for looping and effects) with 2 synths. Now we didn't use any computers at all, no looping,...

Kaossilator goes into mK goed into Boss GT effect into mixer. K Station goes into Zoom effect into mixer.

Awesome, Crazy music!!!!

Can u guys help me? I want to buy my first synth (i am bassist) and i have 2 options: MicroKorg or K-station? Wich one do you guys think is like easy to use and etc?

If you are new to synthesis, the K-Station would be the better choice. If you know a little bit about synthesis, you could choose either one. They sound totally different, so it depends on what you like. They both do crazy stuff. The Microkorg is much more portable. K-Station is a little bulkier and heavier. Microkorg has a smaller keyboard but more keys...

no, its what Se7ense7 says: it does depends on what you like.

I got the microkorg but i cant find my way around the k-station, but thats just because i've been using the microkorg for about 4 years now, i just got used to it... i would suggest that you try both of them in your local musicstore and try to look at the workflow/interface for the microkorg and the gay-station, i mean K-station...

The way I like it: no PC, no secuencer... Just two guys, some synths &... live performance!
