NYPD Raid on Occupy Wallstreet Camp. At 1am on the morning of November 15th, 2011, the NYPD did a surprise raid on Liberty Park. Many people were sleeping and woke to bright lights and the sound cannons of the NYPD. People were told to get out of the park, to leave their belongings behind, that they would be able to get their possessions back from the NYPD a few days later. Some people stayed in the park and locked themselves together by the kitchen. Others chose to walk out. I was walked across the street with the livestream crew. We stood on the corner of Cedar and Broadway for 5 hours and watched as the NYPD trashed our entire camp. They treated good equipment like it was garbage and threw it into dumpsters and trash compactors. They smashed people's computers, took id's, cameras, camping equipment and rendered them useless by crushing them into garbage. They took 5,000 books, thousands of $ worth of medical equipment, bicycle generators, food, personal belongings, tables, tents and trashed it all.

I know the world has to change. But this is not the way, and also Anonymous is not the way. I love the bigger thought but Anonymous are all just some people who know lots about hacking and now found an excuse to hack. Trust me, i have helped with operations too. The world has to change, but this is not the way..
