im glad that terry wogan stepped down. all he does is bitch, moan and be nasty to the contestants and he even gives the hint that eurovision votes are fake. i don't find his comments amusing or funny at all.

I am actually happy. The 2007 commenting was a disaster...
Only UK, UK UK and just Uk was in his mouth. I mea, come on, there are other countries accept UK performing on Eurovision.

I find it funny how Europe is expanding so much! I can't wait to see the Chinese entry this year!

@EdwardVonFishington once but there were far better songs that year

@sasters1963 hum.... Actually Britain is the only one taking it seriously with Stock Atken Waterdump produktionz. There's nothing funny about Terry Wogan unlike the godly irritating but endlessly more irresitible Dutch presenter who is always enjoying it no matter what.

Ya era hora de que se retirara este pesado!! :P

I guess that Wogan got very surpriced in the following years where he got to see that the Uk got a great 5th place in 2009 and that one of the big5-countries won the whole show in 2010 :)

Funny that the BBC replaced a sarcastic Irishman with,,, a sarcastic Irishman... I just love the fact that everyone else in Europe takes the whole thing seriously and we just see it for what it is... a bloody good laugh!!!!!

You were saying with Germany winning?
He's pretty honest about it though, I mean come on. Anyone who says that it's isn't politically fuelled must be having a laugh. The whole contest is a joke we should just drop out like Italy who thought it was too political too. Let the Eastern european countries put our share of the funding in. It's a joke that 5 but now 4 countries pay for 40% of the contest and don't even have a shot at winning it.
