@moblyblob I would first look to see if the yarn is going around the needle too many times-- especially when moving it from back to front for a purl st.

When working an MI st, you must be sure to twist the st as you knit or purl it, or you will get a gaping HOLE. She does this as she knits, but when she does the purl M1 she fails to twist the st, and you can clearly see the big hole she leaves. If she would have turned the st on the needle before purling it, OR purled in back leg of the st, she would have a beautiful inc with NO HOLE.

This video's great, it's much clearer than some others I've seen. But I STILL keep managing to add 2 stitches every time I do it instead of one! No idea where I'm going wrong :(
