  • Got the same laptop and love it, it's nice to have a laptop that cane run things almost as fast as my desktop.

  • @psycold Exactly! I also bought an Acer Aspire 5560G for school (amd quadcore 6720g2 HD) and that one beats many others too ;)

  • @Illmatic662 Ey, i'm not sure what my XBL account is, something like SparkierArtist3 if i'm correct. And yes i do have steam, but i do not game anymore on my pc, i still have some game sinstalled.. my account is: amjovi

  • @amjovi I agree that business notebook certainly do age better.

Yes, the one with the better viewing angles, lol. You have 360? Add me bro, lol. I have to get back live gold, but my gamertag is the same as my username. I like FPS gaming on PC, that's definitely my favorite part about it. Do you have STEAM?

  • @Illmatic662 Correct, business notebooks really are better quality. the battery lasts longer and it looks more modern then the cheaper office/all-round notebooks. I have no idea which one is better, the Asus or either the M17 haven't checked them yet. And what do you mean with IPS displays; the one with a better angle? if so, yes. I'm no longer playing on my pc. I use my Xbox for that.

  • @amjovi Are you using IPS displays? Lol, that's what I plan on picking up I already have my eye on an NEC display. I will probably buy my monitor before I get my new notebook and just connect my FX to it.

HP is also making some pretty awesome business notebooks as well. The reason I like these business notebooks, is the build quality is much better then the office notebooks. It also lasts like two times longer as well. There are so many good choices out there, I also like the M17x and Asus G73

  • @Illmatic662 I know how to benchmark, but just never had to do benchmark it.

Currently i've two 24" screens connected to my notebook. Both 1920x1080p and it's fabulous!

Hmm, I rather buy one with a better GPU if you're going to play games on it. Dell is more like an office brand, not known for gaming. Keep that in mind before you make your decission.

  • @amjovi Yeah, the M4600 is just the 15" version, like how the M6600 is the 17" version. The benchmarks I was talking about was like 3Dmark vantage, MDMark06, and 3DMark11, but dont bother doing it, that's fine.

The M4600 does have a weaker GPU, its about the same power as a ATI 6770 so like a mid range high end card. Actually what I am going to do is when I game im going to connect it to either a monitor or to my TV. I prefer 17" or bigger for sure though.

  • @Illmatic662 I never had to benchmark it. So I´m not sure how it will do it, but i´m pretty sure it will pass everything just fine. The M4600 sounds like a weaker version, I haven´t seen the specs yet. Uhm I don´t think 15" will do it.. you'll need a bigger screen to play games properly though? Well it's great that it has USB 3.0 support and probably cheaper.. I think you'll have to find out what fits best to your priorities.

  • Hm, hope you are still well.

I was doing some research and I actually came across that apparently an M4600 and M6600 are out now. The only came out like two or three days ago, lol. There is no reviews yet but I am going to sit down and wait and see what the reviews say about these new models. The interesting thing about them is there is two USB 3.0 ports now and the M4600 which is just the small 15" model has 5 USB ports, that's pretty cool.

Have you ever benchmarked this notebook before?
