Rexarc International - Advanced Mfg and Exporting

February 23rd, 2011 President of Rexarc International Inc., Jim Bowman gave a testimonial about areas covering our region, but namely touched specifically on Preble County.
Rexarc International is a global leader in the compressed gas distribution and generation equipment industry. Their equipment is typically used for controlling industrial gases such as Argon,Oxygen, and Propane, as well as producing gases such as Acetylene. The gases are used in a broad market including everything from medical to welding applications. Rexarc International is a family owned company for 85 + years that is privately held with 23 employees.
Rexarc International's manufacturing facility is 60,000 square feet and is place in its original location in West Alexandria, Ohio in Preble County.
Over 70% of Rexarc's workers are local residents from Preble County and they include skilled trades such as welders and mechanical assemblers as well as support skills such as accounting, engineering, and international logistics coordination. Over 25 % of their workers have 20+ years experience with Rexarc.
Due to the attractive tax rates and support of the local community, Rexarc finds it to be very cost effective to do business in Preble County. They feel that there is great cooperation between trade associations and local government within their region. The cooperation between the Preble County Chamber of Commerce, the Dayton Tooling and Manufacturing Association and their emphasis on strong manufacturing base is promoting their growth in the region.
Their growth as an International Exportation Company was awarded in 2010. Rexarc is the recipient of the Exporter of The Year Award by the Governor of Ohio and the unparalleled high levels of quality and expertise are also paving new pathways for successful endeavors in China, Southeast Asia, and in Africa as well as South America. They foresee a prosperous future as there is a growing demand for the high quality products they develop and distribute.
In his own words he states that "Preble County is an outstanding area to start or grow a business. I say this, only due to the great infrastructure, excellent workforce, logistics accessibility, but also due to the high tech development and resource centers such as Sinclair Community College and Miami Valley Career Technology Center as well as the other learning institutions in the Southwest Ohio region."
